Getting H-4 stamp in Canada/Mexico
My sister has an H-4 visa, but is visiting India presently. Her H-4 is valid until
August 2006. My brother has changed employers in between, and is waiting
on the new H-1 (I'm not sure if its an extension or a transfer - the first three
years of his H-1 with his former employer was getting over by August 2006).
My sister wants to come to the US in May 2006. Even if my brother's new
H-1 comes through by then, she will not be able to get an appointment
in Madras before May (for a new H-4). Would it be possible for her to come
to the US using her current H-4 visa, and then get the new one by going to
Canada or Mexico (instead of India)?
Any info would be much appreciated.
