H1B- 221(g) waiting since 8 months
Hi Friends
I got selected in last year H1B lottery and appeared for my Interview in Delhi Consulate on 15th July'2015. The Interview went well and there were not too many questions asked but then I was handed over a white 221(g) form saying they need to do some "Administrative processing". I was not asked to submit any documents either and my passport was kept as well.
From that day to today, I am only waiting. Emails to them or online status check does not help as I only get a canned reply back stating it's in process. Our attorney in US who filed my H1B has also not heard back anything.
Does anyone on this forum has any such bad experience? I know there is no time limit for 221(g) processing but has it stretched this long for anyone?
Also, any suggestions on what are my options in hand now? Am I eligible to apply to another H1B on coming 1st Apr'16 in this case?
