Hello,
My situation is very specific. So I am creating a new thread. I would really appreciate any help in this. My H1B was approved in Sept 2015 without automatic change of status and it said that I had to immediately travel back to my country and get it stamped and come back. The same week it got approved I lost my job. I was with a contractor and my assignment at a client was terminated. So I returned to my home country immediately. Now I have an H1B approval letter but I don't have a job. My old employer is trying to find a new assignment for me. But my doubt is, if I land a job with a completely different employer right now, what are the processes I will have to go through to get my approved notice converted into an H1B stamp on my passport? Is that even an option, meaning, can I change my employer in this state? I hope I have done a descent job of explaining my situation and doubt.
Thanks.
