Hi Everyone,
I was on OPT until October last year and since then I am on H1B. I am in the process of filing my taxes for the year 2015. I had health insurance for about 4 months (May,2015 - September,2015) when I was on OPT through ISO healthcare during the year 2015. ISO health care I am told does not qualify under Obamacare, but I also understand that students under OPT are considered non residents and are exempt from Obamacare.
Am I correct in assuming the above? Am I exempt from Obamacare while I was on OPT or Should I pay the fine?
