H1 to H4 stamping in India

i came to US in 2012 Aug on H4 visa and applied for H1B in 2013Apr.
i was on H1B since OCT 2013 and i have been working since then i have all the pay slips till now(march 2016).
i want to transfer to H4 since if i apply for a change of status in US its gonna take a very long time and i have my H1 extension in Oct 2016.

can i go to India and go for stamping on H4(planning to go this May)

Yes, don't see any issues as long as your spouse has been maintaining valid H1 status.
