Hi All,
I just wanted to thank everyone in this forum for taking time and answering the queries. Here's my query -
Current Situation :
I have been working with company B for over a year, and recently the company decided to layoff a bunch and unfortunately i was also part of it. So i will be on Payroll till end of this month. My stamping in Passport was for employer A and the stamping on it has expired. Employer B's I797 covers me till next year. so on a normal scenario, i can get the stamping when i move to the home country. But now with the layoff, i understand i will be out of status starting next month and have to find a new employer quickly to file a H1 Transfer. But i have a travel plan to India coming up next month which i cant avoid and hence wont be able to return to US without stamping.
Questions:
Is it possible to get a Full time position in US by attending interviews from India?
Has anyone been in this scenario before? If so can you share your experience.
Are Desi consultancies the only option to come back to US?
Does this impact green card process in anyway, as there will be a gap of few months in experience considering the time taken to secure a new position.
Thank you!!
