Need Help on H1B Period and GC Filing

Hi,

I am currently on H1B visa which is valid till April, 2018. My H1B started on 1st October, 2012 but I came to US in January, 2013.

My questions are:
1. Can my H1B be extended for another 7 months after April, 2018? My 6 years period ends in January, 2019.

2. What should be the best time to start the GC process? If I assume that my H1B will not extend after April, 2018 then I have exactly 2 years left.

3. My passport expires on June, 2018. The earliest I can get it renewed in June, 2017. Can that cause any problem during GC process or visa extension after April, 2018.

1. Yes, all time spent outside US within the last 6 Years can be recaptured along with extension request for the time remaining in 6 Years.
2. With GC the earlier the better.
3. It should not be an issue.
