First time H1B stamping in Canada

Hello,

I have a Indian Passport and I entered USA on H4 visa in Feb 2014. Soon after i got my change of status done to H1B and started working in May 2014.

My H1B is valid till April 2018.
I want to get my visa stamped soon.

I didnot study in USA..i completed all my studies in india and worked in india for 8 years before coming to USA.

Can I go to Canada to do my 1st time H1B stamping. (my passport still has H4 stamp)
Or is it advisable to do the H1B stamping in India?

Please advise and share experiences of 1st time H1B stamping process.
