Hi:
I have a H1b stamp which was filed by my current employer. While filing, my current employer stated that I never held a J1 visitor VISA. It was probably done by mistake. Now my J1 was subjected to a two-year residency program and I have satisfied that. The proof is I have a stamp that I entered my country and that my I-94 showed that I have entered after 2 years of J1 in an H1b Visa. Unfortunately, I just have a copy of my old J1 stamp as the passport containing the stamp was stolen.
Now I am in the process of changing employers and my prospective employer is filing a H1 petition. Now, will my current H1b visa in which this fact was unwillingly not explicitly stated cause any problem in getting a new H1b?
