  • job description issue

    Dear Immihelp,

As luck would have it my H1B employer made a mistake in the job description and used technology A against the technology B that reflects in my resume.

I wanted to know what is the way out for a successful H1B(new and not transfer) stamping. Is it possible to change job description or should I just go ahead for stamping as H1B petition got approved with the same anomaly.

Also at system analyst level does it matter as I do have an engineering degree. Could I say that I also know the technology A or should it also show in my resume.

I look forward to valuable inputs from Immihelp community. Pls advise.

    Thanks in Advance

thanks for looking into it. Details follow

My case is that of new H1B filing through lottery.

The technology is mentioned incorrectly in the sum of job duties to be performed section of the H1B petition itself. The resume shows different technology stack. Its like I know Java, but petition is for skillset of .Net or vice versa.

Will it create issues in stamping or is the 4 year engineering degree enough and experience is not mandatory.

Thanks a lot for your inputs in advance.

I would advise asking the attorney to get it amended to show the correct technology.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
