Different consulate than the one mentioned in approval notice ?

My H1B approval notice has Hyderabad as notified consulate. But,In Hyderabad there is waiting time of 35 days for interview appointment.
Can I attend another location like Chennai which has lower wait times even though Approval notice has Hyderabad as notified consulate.

Technically any consulate in your home country would suffice. Have you tried to reach the help desk?
