I797A-Consulate Notification
Hi,
I got H1B Extension Approval notice(I797A) recently. I could not find any where in the notice where it says they have notified the status to consulate in India. In I129, it is requested to notify Chennai Consulate after approval.
Now my I797A says:
"The petitioner may also file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, with this office to request that we may notify a consulate, port of entry, or pre-flight inspection office of this approval."
Should I request to notify Chennai consulate again by filing form I-824 or is it ok to go to India and attend the VISA stamping?
