I live in Indiana. My current Indiana Driver's License expires June 30 along with my old H1 visa and I 797.
But I do have a new I797 approval for H1b visa already with expiry in 2019. I went to BMV to renew my Driver's License based on this, but after looking at my documents, they told me that I CAN NOT APPLY FOR RENEWAL until July 1st when the new I797 dates start.
It means I will have to deliberately wait for my current Driver's License to expire before applying for renewal even though I already have a valid new I797 for my H1b.
I would appreciate any input from members on this.
