H4 Stay beyond H1B

Hi,

I am on an H1B with my I-140 approved and my spouse in on H4. My question is

If I lose my job/resign and then move out of the country while my spouse(H4) and kids(US citizens) continue to live in the US.
How long can she stay here legally with me being outside the country?

Technically zero days. If you go out of status , so does H4. As for US citizen kids, I don't think that holds much significance in this situation.
