Hi Group,
I came here on Jan'06 and working for a client through my H1 holding company in IT field. My wife came here in Dec'05 on B1 visa from Indian Based Comapany.Her business trip ends in March mid.
We are planning to get the H4 visa for her based on my H1.We have already taken an appointment on April 3rd week. But later on we came to know that it is possible to convert her B1 to H4 when she is in USA itself.
It would be highly appreciable if anyone tells us which one is the best way to get it done.
i.e. going back to India and get it stamped and come back to USA on H4 Visa
or Convert her B1 to H4 Visa here itself.
Please let us know what are all the documents she needs to carry along with her when she attends consulate for interview.
What would be the expected questions from consulate officer at the time of interview.
