Should I file application of PERM?

My wife holds a L1B visa and I am working with a EAD as a L2. Last month I was informed I was lucky enough picked up by H1B petition lottery and i am waiting until October to have my new visa take effect. Meantime early this month, my wife's application of PERM gets filed.

My question is that should I also apply a PERM once my new visa takes effect?
