Hello All,
I need help in filling up DS-160 form for spouse.
I will be getting married in Dec 2016, but since there is 2-3 months wait time in getting visa interview dates in India (Mumbai), I am planning to submit DS-160 and get visa appointment as soon as I can for spouse.
Here are the queries I have -
1. Marital status - What status can I specify, do I need to mention her current status which is 'Single' or can I mention as 'Married'?
2. She is still working in India and planning to work till Nov-2016. While filling up Work Experience, there is a question - 'Do you currently work?' - which work status can I specify 'currently working' or 'Homemaker' which will be the status at the time of visa interview?
If I specify 'Homemaker', another question is asked about previous work experience. There is a section where I have to specify start date and end date of employment. It is not allowing me to specify future date as last date of work. What should I do in this case, should I specify last date as yesterday's date (sysdate-1), finish up the form, get the appointment and after her last day of employment, submit another DS160 and ask the OFC officer to scan the new DS160 instead of old DS160?
