221g Administrative processing

Hi,
I am facing a different problem, i am a Pharma graduate i have been workin in delhi past 1 year In Clinical Research organisation on Oracle Clinical and SAS, i attended us embassy new delhi on 4th Jan. they have seen all the documents n asked me to get additionl docs like Bank statement and pay slips of past 1 year gave me 221g.
again i went with the required documentation on 10th january...again they had a look all my documents, they said " u have all the documents but ur education and ur previous experience from south india so u have to attend there, and they ll asses u well" and they redirected me to chennai with 221g.

On Jan17th,

Chennai.....they took my documents n told me can u please wait for a while we ll call u. it took 2 hours to call me, the officer called n asked me all abt from my childhood to last working day, and he told me this is the first application we received so we need to do admnistrative processing b4 takin a final decision.

they gave me again 221 g with administrative processing. its already 6 weeks.

anyone got any Idea of Administrative processing time lines for H1b, please help me out if anyone knows...

Hi,

My case was similar too. I first attended the interview for the H1B visa in Dec and was isssued a 221g for the client letter and I again went to Chennai consulate in the 1st week of Jan with the Client letter and the VO put my case on Administrative processing. I finally got a mail from the Chennai AFU in the 3rd week of Feb and got the H1b Visa successfully.

No....We are yet to receive any kind of informaion from Counsulate....Lets hope for the best.....But any one know why they are taking much time ..coz few of my frnds who had same issue received their passport in 20 days.....this has happened around jan-06.

Hi all, few guyz got mail from consulate to drop their passport n the DD in the Dropbox...who are with this 221g aap .if the query was Positive..and genuine.

but the fact is to wait....

HI,

Im also pharmacy grad and in same profession(clinical research). Surprisingly, I attended for h1b visa on Jan 17th at chennai consulate and VO issued 221g addition administrative processing required.

And on March 7th i received a letter from consulate saying that im not qualified for h1b visa. And they did not tell me any reason for visa denial. Im really shocked after seeing this letter.
