My H-1B visa got approved in May 2016 and effective from October 1,2016. However, my OPT got expired on June 21, 2016 and I did not apply for STEM Extension as I was approved for H-1B. Today, I got my informed about my layoff from current employer; my employment would be ending on July 8, 2016. I have the following set of questions:
1. What will be my grace period/days of unemployment to maintain my status?
2. Can my H-1B be transferred to new employer? If yes, what are the clauses?
3. In case my current employer revokes my H-1B on July 08, 2016, can my new employer apply for a new H1-B petition or my H1 can be transferred irrespective of a revocation?
