Travel to india when H1B extension is pending

Hi all,

I need a clarification on below situation,

- My H1B Visa going to expire on Oct 2016
- My Company filed H1B on June 10th and shared my receipt number.
- I like to travel india by this Aug 2 week and will be back to US on Aug last week.

Please clarify is it not advisable to travel india when my extension is in pending though i've valid visa till OCt 2016 i.e. one more month.

As long as your company requested an extension or consulate processing, you can travel to India with no problem. Just come back before your visa expires.
