I797 required on POE?

Is I797B original required at POE? Can we present photocopy if they ask? Or just keep soft copy on mobile?

There is no reason to expect the POE officer to ask for an I-797. Normally, you will have a sealed package to hand to the immigration officer, which will contain all pertinent documents from the Embassy.

Soft Copy on the mobile might not be useful, as its difficult to read. Normally a visa is enough, but keep a copy of I797 just in case asked for.

Hi rayb, Thanks for your response. Can you please elaborate what do mean by sealed package? Embassy has not given my anything. Infact, they kept my I797B and just return the passport with stamp. Which documents you are referring?

My petition was approved in July 2015, Visa stamped in Jan 2016 and now I am planning to go in September 2016. Should this cause a problem? What type of additional questions I can expect in this particular scenario?
