    H4 for spouse when H1 is approved

    Hi,

    I have a query. I am currently on F1 via with OPT, having a job. Next year in April my employer is going to file an H1 for me. Once my H1 is approved, can i get an H4 visa filed for my wife immediately or do I have to wait till October (till my visa status changes to H1).
