I am currently on a F1 -OPT visa (changed to this status from H4 in USA) and I had to travel to India on an emergency situation. My OPT has expired and have applied for COS and H4 EAD. Both these cases are currently pending with the USCIS.
Now I need to get my visa stamped before leaving back to the US. I have applied for H4 visa. would the officer question me on why I am changing my student visa to a H4. The real reason being that I would apply for my H4 EAD after going to the US. What should I answer if the officer asks if I have worked earlier and if I am planning to work after going back to US?
