H1B extension filed- have not received receipt notice

Hi,

My H1B extension petition is filed in July 2016 in regular processing. Its been a month and have not received receipt notice. On checking with attorney it was confirmed that filing fees was accepted and got the receipt number as well. My I-94 is expiring soon. Is my stay valid with receipt number if my attorney do not receive receipt notice before I-94 expiry ? Can i opt for PP without receipt notice and only with receipt number ?

Yes, you can stay and work till max 240 days from your I94 expiry if no decision taken. Yes, you can upgrade to premium any time.
