Chennai Consulate-Hotels to stay for decent price near embassy

I guess it may be inappropriate to ask this question here, but I would go ahead nonetheless. Any suggestions as to where we can stay around embassy near Chennai for a decent price, just for a night before interview?

Not sure what you meant by hoping for real experience. Hotel stay experience? Chennai isn't all that great to begin with, it's a very busy city, noisy and also hot and humid. It's also just an interview, not a vacation. Anyways, it has been 11 years since I've been there, but if it was me, I'd book a room in Taj Coromandel on Nungambakkam High Road. It's down the street from the US Consulate.

La Woods Hotel, CHENNAI

I stayed at "La Woods Hotel" for my visa interview. little pricy but great rooms and service. They also provide free drop to consulate for interview.
