Hi,
I need urgent help with my new H1B renewal. I have already used 2 * 3 year H1Bs, 23Jun16 was expiry of last H1B. Company applied for a 3 month extension which expires on 30Sep2016, and after that I got another I797 from 1Oct16 to 30sep19, after my I140 was approved. Last visa stamped on my passport expired on 23Jun16. I am going to India this week to get H1 stamped using latest I797 (1Oct16 to 30Sep19). I am worried if I will be allowed to renter US on 4Sep16 (given everything goes fine with visa) because apparently i cannot enter before 10 days of I797 validity. I know visa doesn't have a start date so seems it should be fine as long I have both I 797's (23Ju16-30Sep16, 1Oct16-30Sep19) with me, which cover my entire period of stay in US. Can some one please confirm asap?
