Hi,
I am currently on F-2 status and will become an H-4 through my spouse's employment. We have already received the notice and the effective date is October 1st. H-4 status allows full time study but F-2 does not. I am recently admitted to graduate school and the school start date is sooner than October 1. Since I am already present in the US, will it be okay if I start school before my H-4 status is effective or should I hold off until then? I asked the school and they said that H status is not really related to them so they have no problem with it.
