Hi,
I recently came to US on H1B visa. All my documents like passport and I-797 shows my given name as "Naveen Kumar" and my last name as "Atmakuri". However, when I applied for SSN, they issued my card with "Naveen Atmakuri Naveenkumar". The reason for this, as per them, since my immigration records are having this name, my SSN will have the same. So, I visited CBP office, and got my I-94 record corrected. My initial I-94 didn't had "Kumar" in it. After my visit to CBP, it got corrected. When I went to SSN again for name correction, I got the same response saying that my immigration records show incorrect name, even though the I-94 got corrected. Can anyone tell me how to proceed for getting my name corrected in the Immigration records as well as the SSN?
-Regards,
Naveen.
