H4 EAD with COS

Hi,

I have an approved I-140. My wife is on H1 visa and her H1 visa is expiring Jan 2017. I want to file the change of status (COS) for per from H1 to H4 and also file H4 EAD. I have few questions,

1. Do we need to hire an attorney for this OR I can do it by myself? What is recommended?
2. Can we file COS and H4 EAD at the same time?
3. If we file COS and EAD, Can I switch the jobs and Change my H1 petitioner? If I do so, would it impact COS process?

#1 The form is very simple so you should be able to do it yourself

#3 ideally you should transfer once you get H4 EAD as H1B to H4/H4 EAD would create an employment gap since it takes 90 days on average to get H4 EAD from H4
