  • h1b stamping in India

    hi,

I recently booked my H1b stamping in India at Hyderabad. My home town is Lucknow and last stamping was done in New Delhi.
On eof my friends company states this while booking stamping location: "We strongly recommend applicants not to change their interview consulate due to the high rejection rate and also plan only for the consulate within their jurisdiction."

So what does within jurisdiction means? does this means i always have to goto New Delhi to avoid even slightest chance of any issue?

    Thanks in advance.

This seems to be an internal company recommendation not a guideline by US Consulates/USCIS.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Yes it is. But does this recommendation has any validity? I want to understand that if I have all documentations perfect, will it still not be advisable to goto any other counselate?

I dont see a concrete basis for this recommendation. If your organization is known globally it should not be a big issue.

Just got clarification. This recommendation is for first time stamping and not for restamping.
Restamping should be smooth if all documents are fine.
