Starting a LLC on F1 visa
Hi,
I am currently on F1 visa with an employer here in the US (post completion OPT). I would be filing for my STEM extension and H1B visa soon, with the same employer.
However, me and a few friends (american citizens) are planning to start a company on the side. This is still a very preliminary idea, but we'd be filing for an llc.
I wanted to know if:
a. I can register myself as a part owner of that company ?
b. What are the restrictions that I might have on the same.
c. It might be a while before that company is cash positive (if we even get funding), so I wont be drawing any salary from it any time soon ?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
