I have got my unused H1b Petition through one consultant and the Petition Validity for the same is : - 3/1/2011 through 6/30/2012
As you would see, my unused H1B is of 2011 which is expired in 2012.
I only came to US later with my current employer on L1A in Jan 2013 and since then I am still with the same employer on L1A.
I never came to US before Jan 2013.
Will greatly appreciate if you can confirm below 3 things :
(1) Can my above Petition be reinstated with any new employer as I have not used all 6 years on it.
(2) If I can transfer/reinstate my old H1b, I would like to know if the COS (Change of Status) from my current L1 to H1 will happen automatically or is there a way to not make it automatically so that I can still continue working with my current employer on L1A even after my new employer gets my H1B reinstated.
(3) Till when I have to get this reinstated. In other words, what is my drop date to get this Visa reinstated/transferred.
