I 94 Expiration

My I 94 is expiring on 25th Dec 2016. But my H1 B validity is up to Sept 2018. As per my employer they have filed the Amendment for my H1 b and i dont need to worry for it.


Can i stay with the expired I 94 (hence my I 797 validity is up to Sept 2018 )

OR

Should I travel outside of USA for the I 94 extension.

Amendment and extension are two different things. Unless you get a new I797 which also has a new extended I-94 at the bottom of it, you cannot work.
