Hello,
My H1B Visa was just approved and my status has been changed since October 1, 2016. I am planning to get married when I go home to India this time and I wanted to know the answers to the following questions?
- What documents do I need from my employer to support the H4 application?
- Can I fill in application for my H1B stamping and my future wife's H4 together, adding her as my dependent before the marriage and take the interview date after the wedding so we can finish everything on time and we can go to the interview together?
- If we fill the form DS160 before the wedding, what should be out marital status? (We will give the interview after wedding.)
- Does it make a difference if she goes alone for the interview or she goes with me?
- Do I need the help of an immigration lawyer for this process or it is simple enough that we can handle it on our own?
