Original I-797 OR Copy works?? Pls let me know asap

Background:

I have visa interview next week and there is confusion after going through few of threads in this forum. My employer is based in USA and dont have office in India. Original approved I-797 is with him and I have copy of I-797 along with attorney's certified letter (on letter head as attachment in email) saying same.

My Question:
1. Consulate website across all location(Chennai, HYD, Delhi, Kolkata...) in India mentions Copy should work except Mumbai Consulate website. Not sure, if this website is updated. Is Original I-797 required now-a-days OR Copy should work? Pls let me know ASAP.

They can but don't have much time as interview is scheduled next week. Also don't want to risk in case courier Company misplace original i797
