I can't believe how stupid I am. I've been doing visa petitions on my own - the employer is a small company and doesn't have an attorney - and it worked fine so far. This time around, however, I didn't file for an extension until the last day of my status. To make things worse, I forgot to get an updated LCA and filed the application with the old one. Few days ago I received an RFE asking for current LCA. Naturally, I requested one from DoL, however the validity period could not be backdated and will be starting from today, which is 2.5 weeks after my status ended. Is there a way to get H-1B extended in this case or am I f*cked?
