    H1 is on 221G. can we extend?

    Hi,
    I have attended H1 stamping at Chennai. Vo issued 221g blue slip. I have few questions.

    1. Can I apply for extension before the 221g is approved as my h1 is going to expire in Jan 2017?
    2. Can I travel on existing B1 to US before 221g is approved and convert to H1?
