H1B to H4 conversion

Hi,

I am currently on H1B visa which is valid till Sep 2017. I came to US first time on H4 visa which was valid from 2013 till Sep 2016. My husband got his i-140 approved and I want to come on H4 EAD now. Since my H4 has expired(Sep 2016), can I just go back to India and come back on H4 (after filing the DS160 form and getting it stamped)? Is there any other process i need to follow apart from filing DS160 form? My husband's H1B visa is valid till Feb 2018.
