H1B Visa Approved but online status shows Administrative Processing

No update Yet. I will post as soon as i get any update. I’m observing that most of these case of AP are of F1 to H1 and they are taking 4 to 6 weeks to resolve.

Interview Date 4th Jan at Delhi consulate; approved at window - officer said will take 1-2 more days
Status on 4th - AP
Status updated 16th - AP
Status updated 17th - Issued

If everything is ok, you get one update to AP and gets issued next day.

F1 Visa Renewal Delays

Hello community members,

I applied for the renewal of my F1 Student Visa. I attend one of America's most prestigious universities located in California. Here is a short history of my case:

Location: US Consulate, New Delhi
Date applied: October 31, 2017
Date interviewed: November 6, 2017 (was told that I shall receive my passport in 4/5 days)
Date updated: January 5, 2018 (60 days since my interview)

No updates since then. It has been 71/72 days. I had to cancel my flight for winter quarter at my university, and subsequently withdraw enrollment last night.

What steps do you suggest I shall take in order to request information about my visa and get my passport back in time before it's too late to join my university in three months? Thank you!

I saw that case last updated changed to 18th from 5th Jan. After that, it also gets changed from 18th to 19th Jan. but status is still same.

any idea what is going on over here ?

They did not provide me any slip as they confirmed that my passport will be ready in a week.

Hi,

Today my status got changed to Issued.
Now it says:
Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application.

Hoping to get passport in a day or two.
confusing part for me- i have already postponed my ticket to Wednesday morning. Today it is Monday. not sure whether i should wait for tomorrow to get the Passport as status says it might take 10 working days. In most of the cases, i have seen the passport status changed to "Ready for pick up" next day.

After 60 days you can escalate to the embassy. Same boat here. Dec 17 interview date same story. Are you from f1 to h1?
