H1 Extension and Stamping in India

I have a valid visa stamp on passport until Apr 2016 ,then i filed the first extension , it was valid till dec 2016 , so I had to file the second extension. The second one was filed in premium and got the approval till next year.(dec2016 to 2017 dec)
I am planning to go to india during christmas 2016, Do i have to go for stamping , or will i be eligile for drop box.
Your help is highly appreciated.
