H4 to H1B COS, can i travel to US during the time of H1B filing ?

Hi,

I am currently on H4, and i will be travelling to India in January.

My spouse will be filing for my H1B, so my question is should i be present in USA during the time of filing ( April ) ?

Should i be present in USA before lottery and till the stamping ? ( Oct - Dec ) ?

Will my travelling to India effect my H1B filing ?

H1 petition approval may not get affected due to travel, but Change of status will most likely be denied.
