Below is my concern :-
I was working in California for a client and for a standard employer under H1b from Jan/2013 to March/2015 and then I switched my H1B visa from EmployerA to EmployerB. Below is the concern under EmployerB :-
I was working in Richmond/Virginia for ClientA during the tenure April/2015 to Oct/2015 for which i had the approved ammended petition (for instance petitionA) and then I moved to Greensboro/NC and that is my current Client Location ClientB and I am working here from Oct/2015 to currentDay.
I had to come India for a vacation on Nov/2016 and I had my visa scheduled interview on Nov 17th/2016 . Until Nov16th my ammendement for the 2nd Client location i.e. my current location Greensboro/NC was in process and that is why my employer and colleagues suggested to file the DS160 using the Old petition as it had the same approval dates but only when asked tell that the current ammendment is in progress. My interview went ok but the ConsularOfficer asked about my current location and I answered back as Greensboro/NC but he was not convinced. He gave me a white slip (221g) with all the related docs including petition .
Luckily on Nov 16th my ammendment for my current location got approved after a period more than a year . So in the response of 221g I had sent the old and new approved petition as well with a cover letter explaining about it as stated by my employer. Its been 4 weeks now and I don't see an update on my case. When I tried to escalate I got the response as highlighted in blue below .
My query is Can I schedule another VISA stamping for my new approved ammendement (approved on Nov16th) while my 221g is in progress as that may clear out all kinds of confusions of location or Client etc and I may get the VISA approved?
If so then :-
1. What is the complete process of withdrawing the current 221g process of my application id - AA006A2W06 so that I can again go for restamping with the latest ammended petition ?
2. How many days does it take to withdraw the current 221g process ?
3. Is there any consequences or downside of withdrawing the current 221g process?
4. When I go for restamping with the latest petition will I be enquired about withdrawing the current process and what are the proofs I need to carry for that other than the old and new petition ?

Response from US Consulate after escalating for all my enquires:- "Your application remains pending under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act for mandatory administrative processing. U.S. immigration law requires that additional steps be completed in some cases before a file can be advanced for adjudicative review.
While we cannot predict when the processing of your visa will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate and the Department of State are aware of your concerns and will ensure that the application is adjudicated as soon as the administrative processing of your case has been completed. Please be assured that we will contact you as soon as the processing of your case is complete. You can also check the status of your visa https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/."
