I have done a H1 transfer and got it approved. I am visiting India and on coming back I'll join the new employer. I'll am not planning to re-stamp my visa. My old visa is valid for another 1.5 years.
I hear if you do a H1 transfer, you need to re-stamp your visa when visiting your home country. If not, the H1B transfer becomes invalid as the I-94 would be issued based on the visa stamping (old employer) available on the passport and you are to continue with the old employer and not to work for the new employer.
Is this true? Can someone answer this question.
