My wife is on h4 and applied for h4 EAD and she got the EAD. Now the problem is she could not get the SSN because they have My wife status is "Citizen" in their system.
- initially once we receive the EAD we went to SSN office in Fremont, CA. They filled application for SSN and asked us to check in 3 weeks.
- We did not receive SSN so went to Office again and they told me that is is pending in immigration. And advised to check in 3 week again.
- this continued for 8 time, and i requested to talk to manager of the office that i can get proper response.
- manager told me that USCIS has wrong status and advised us to visit San Francisco USCIS.
- we took an appointment and went to USCIS and now they confirmed that the issue is been introduced by USCIS official.
- They ask us to file for h4 EAD again!!! since they can not made an Adjustment.
Is there anyone had same situation?
what should i do to not introduce some other issues?
how would I make sure even second time they wont do the same mistake?
