Urgent help on I129 missing - Visa extension

hi all..
I have got my H1b visa extension during sept 2016 and I got it until 2019. now that couple of weeks back I had to rush to India ona family emergency.
I carried my new I797 document for the purpose of getting the visa stamping here. My employer told that mostly it would be a drop box.
but to my shock, I did not carry my I129 photocopy .. I have asked the team that filed my petition but I am not 100% sure that they will have my petition copy.
can you please help me.. is the I129 really required ? if its missing, is there a way to get a duplicate I129 ????
your help is really appreaciated as I am in a jeopardy now.

One is generally not asked for I129 either during drop box or even during interview.
