US visit on H1b

Hi,

My I-797 approval notice & stamped VISA validity is ending in Jul-17 (6 months to go)

I never been to USA in last 3 years, but now I have some conference to attend in same city of my LCA. My questions is -

May i travel on this H1b for conference as this is not related to my work ?

No. You need to apply for a B1\B2 visa, mentioning your role at the conference.
