RFE before joining new company - URGENT HELP

I resigned from my current company on receipt and now got RFE. I still have 7 days notice period left.

New company, CTS (cognizant) is asking me to join regardless and assuring they will have all client and SOW documents available.

Is it a risk worth taking? What is the reputation of CTS in this regard? Worst case, if it gets denied, do I loose my H1B forever? What are my possible options with CTS?

Please help.
