Hi all,
I had gone to US in 2005 on an f1 visa and in 2008 got my h1 and later changed my employer as that consultancy came under scrutiny. I even got an extension of my h1b visa in 2011 for 3 years with my new employer. But then I had to come back to India to visit my family in 2012 and during the stamping process my h1 got rejected and I got stuck in India.
Now after 5 years I am trying to come back to US on an F1 visa again to do MS in Business Analytics (1 yr program). I was wondering if
1.) I would be h1b cap exempt because of my previous h1b extension and
2.) what are the chances of converting the f1 visa to h1b in the 1st/2nd semester if I find an employer who is willing to file my h1 visa?
