query on H1B amendment extension amendment & extension

Hi All,

Is there any limit on the number of times you can file for H1B amendment / extension / amendment & extension ?

my case is

6 months back I filed for H1B amendment for client A for which I still did not receive approval but now I filed for an amendment & extension for the same client A.

my question is if this client A project completes before I get the approval, can I go ahead and apply for another H1B amendment & extension?
