Getting laid off on March16th. What are my options?

Hey guys,

So I was given notice from my employer regarding the lay offs and will be unemployed as of March 17th. What should I do?
I was on bench for last 2 months and employer has given me notice to find a client til then or be laid off.


1. Open the location and be willing to work anywhere in US ( my wife is pregnant and no one else is here to help her out in basic needs like cooking and all)

2. File H4 visa as she is on H1B now with i-140 approved.( If I file H4 now,can I stay in US even tho H4 decision is pending and file for H4EAD later)

3. Is there any grace period given in such cases when H1b worker is laid off?

You can always stay in the US with a timely-filed change of status or extension of status application pending.
